Public Transport is dangerous

One of Auckland's modern and thoroughly maintained buses exploded into flames today, complete with fleeing passengers running screaming down the road (fleeing passengers not depicted).

Hurrah for public transport!

wish I knew how to make a few of our Atlanta buses explode like that
theyre twice too big for our streets and always have at most 2-3 riders at a time, but somebody's brother-in-law sells them to us no doubt

A big however: you're still safer taking the bus. Per mile I'll bet a private auto is much riskier.

I was going to get public transport to work tomorrow for my boss's last day but I just changed my mind. I am riding my bike. At least if I die on my bike I go out doing something I love!
