Phuket- retrospective.
Phuket, the tourist centre of Thailand, and so being good little tourists of course we spent a few days there. On our first night there we found the gay area and relaxed in a couple of bars. A few Bourbons and a B-52 later, Morris and Kevin took me to my first Go-Go boy bar. Which was something of an eye-opener.
The Go-Go boys parade on stage, each of them with a number tag pinned to their white speedos. Apparently you pick the one you like and buy him a drink, and then take him home. I wasnt so sure about it but I did enjoy the drag shows between the meatmarket. At one stage there were 2 Tina Turners on stage, bad lip-sych and all.
A slow day on the beach next day where we all got a touch burnt, and early to bed ready for a trip to Phi Phi islands and snorkelling the next day.
