Today is Friday

Its really happening.

I'm packed, a surprisingly small blue bag full of clothes. I'm about to have a haircut and a shave, then I'm going to turn off the power, lock the door and head to work. A few short hours later I'll be ON A FUCKIN PLANE COMING TO SAN FRANCISCO!!!

Is it just me, or is it excited in here?

And the jobs keep coming at work! There's going to be panic when I drop tools at 4.30 and leave... we did have a real nice lunch though, kebabs and beer, lovely.

I'm going to wear a black shirt and tie to get me through customs- it a look that works better with my hair and beard. Well, better than the black teeshirt with harley logo look I normally wear. Plus I might *just* increase my chances of getting an upgrade if I look the part ;-)

ONE LAST THING:
If you see me around, come and say hi!! but be prepared to introduce yourself with your real name AND YOUR LJ USERNAME... I'm awful with real names until I've got familiar with people, and I'm similarly awful at recognising people from their photos!

"Good afternoon Mr Bowyer, I'm calling from Air New Zealand to let you know that your flight to SF has been delayed due to the fog we had this morning. Your new departure time is 0230, I suggest you check-in at 11.30 as it will be busy."

Oh well, at least I'll sleep..

Arrive SF at 1930 (thats 7.30pm). At least Phil doesnt have to come pick me up now (unless he wants to :-))
