I'm afraid I can't come back to work due to the eruption of a very large volcano here in Alaska. All flights out of the Anchorage bowl have been suspended indefinitely. I realize how important to you I am as an employee and I'm terribly upset that I am unable to return to work. But you know how inconvenient these natural catasrophes can be.
In the meantime allow me to perform my work via telecommuting. I think you may find, to your delight, how much work I am able to perform even when I am far away from home.
