Damn. My new custom urethane engine mounts have failed spectacularly. Is this the point at which the equation (Horsepower = Money) becomes a painful truth?

I'll have one more go at them- this time I'll cast them into a sensible shape that can take the load, rather than just relying on sheer mass of urethane.

I would try ripping out all the rubber then fitting the space with something like a large urethane body mount or leaf spring eye bushing trimmed to press- fit. Depending on the I.D and O.D. needed, a pair of inline skate tires can be used, especially if there is a hollowed out area in the rubber where it can be contained, along with a large washer on the outside. I've done the latter with success in what was supposed to be a temporary fix, it worked so well and lasted forever.

I had cast my own urethane, but one mount was offcentre and experienced too much load. It failed first, and the second mount wasnt up to the job on its own.

I might actually go see what the parts store has in stock.
