From BoingBoing:Koko's trainer, Francine "Penny" Patterson, has claimed for years that Coco "uses nipple to refer to people."

I wonder if that's because pointing to your nipple looks a lot like pointing at yourself, and while being taught the sign for 'nipple' Koko just thought she was learning another sign for 'me'?
