This week I have well and tuly over-extended myself financially, to the point where I have $11.20 available until Friday. But I dont care, because I have airline tickets to SF in September. *bounce*!!
I picked Richie up from the airport last night and we went out for a beer and dinner and lots of catching up- I've been a bad friend and haven't been in touch as much as I should, especially given how well we get along. I was pleased to learn that his relationship is developing nicely, and much progress has been made, he was pleased to learn thatI'm ready to wear a smile and walk in the sun.
Which reminds me: Still no word from the boys- I'm ready for some limited communication, but it looks like they aren't yet. Someday :-)
Whoops.
Brent chased me down the street last night and presented me with a bottle of gin as a thankyou for looking after his house while he was away- not that I minded staying in a clean, warm, dry house full of gorgeous antiques. I did, however, clean the oven for them, as it was a bit icky. They'll find the clean oven someday and wonder what happened, hopefully they wont figure out it was me...
Piazza update: having decided to keep the silver piazza and merely transplant the greasy bits from the red one, I'm resuming reupholstering the seats. When they say '3/4 leather' they dont usually mean the driver's seat and half of the passenger seat is leather, the rest still cloth, but that's what I've had for the last 6 months. Its time to finish the interior, and what better time to do it than winter. Just me, a pile of leather and an industrial sewing machine. And a heater. Cosy.
