not pretty

Tonight was tragically domestic. I went shopping for food- at a supermarket. Not a takeaway, food hall, or restaurant. I ended up lost in the meat aisle, mindlessly following a wee tattooed skinhead with (yes Alan) a shaped red beard, piercings and tattoos. woofalicious! When I woke from my trance I realised I had bought a bag of salad, a roast chicken, a loaf of bread and a box of tissues. The tissues were useful to mop the wet patch in my pants, the rest useful for making chicken salad sandwiches.

Which is NOT what's in the cauldron above, by the way. Chicken salad sandwiches should be deep-fried, not boiled.

In the cauldron is the other, FAR more domestic part of my evening- boiling my older black tee-shirts in dye to restore their blackness. Not even my grandma remembers how to dye clothes... anyway, I now have an apparently brand-new Paeroa Battle of the Streets tee-shirt from 1997, one from 1999, and a couple of Thai harley-davidson shirts. Wonderful. A whole new old wardrobe for a mere $6.

(Of course I might have done it wrong- so if you see me with black armpits, or I melt in the rain, you'll know what's happened...)

So last month darling

As long as you set the dye in cold water and wash them before you first wear 'em, your shirts should give ya no trouble.
What's with biker dudes and black, anyway...?

Bugs and sweat stains? Black's just so practical.
