(no subject)

its all been about phones today- talking on them, modelling them, making them fly around the screen...

I had some fab phone calls today :-) Odran called from Australia, he'd been in the blue mountains and was out of range when we all left a long and happy message on his phone. He was blown away and misses everyone in NZ! Well, everyone except the woman who kept sniffing his underwear in the hostel, but thats another story. A made-up story.

One giggly phone call from a mildly inebriated Alaskan and his 21-year-old friend who called me "Sir!" loudly and repeatedly. There's nothing like being called 'Sir!' to get this bear frisky... I was mildly disappointed to learn that he's straight, and they were fully-clothed and washing dishes at the [err, I forget, but here its the R.S.A]

Ah well, this is why we have imaginations.

And now I'm at home- I was thinking about crawling into bed and crying myself to sleep, and was 90% of the way there, but [livejournal.com profile] squirtybear gave me a verbal spanking and made me realise that I have *plenty* to get on with, to keep me busy until September and December. Yay for sweet and caring friends like Paul and David.

So now I'm off to change my bedsheets (due to a recent volley of dirty videos, they're a trifle crunchy), find myself some dinner (I'm leaning towards KFC but I know itll make me feel sick halfway through), and tidy my room. Not very exciting as Thursday nights go, but a huge improvement on sitting in bed and feeling sorry for myself.

...even if some yanks are not particularly fond of the concept ;-)
I guess "Veterans of Civil Wars" would be a much less populous club!

PS, nice user pics :-P

Actually - It's the American Legion (Post 29 - Anchorage) - but close enough. Either way it's a bunch of drunk old ex-military guys around a bar top swapping the same old tired stories - but hey - it's a good place to relax. ;o)

Henry - I might have to hire you to chaperone Mr. Growler whilst he is in SF! haha! What's your asking price?

That's been almost 5 years ago! Went to Europe for awhile, came back and ditched the big city life. Over it! - Erich
