Dec. 15th, 2003 01:43 pmGrowler's weekend- compare and contrast.
M arrived on friday night as planned, we got moderately drunk and went out to Bears' night at 8. Had a great time at Bears', moved on to Urge at 10 and had an even better time- Abducted Dave and made him drive us home, where we found
nothing
as in, no stereo, computers, laptops, cellphones, passports, CD's, DVD's, cameras, money or car keys.
Burgled.
One huge relief was to find Saffy, M's staffordshire terrier, locked in the spare room- we walked in, realised we'd been burgled, and then realised that there was no snuffly licky greetings from Saff. A moment of total and utter horror as we thought about someone taking her and using her as a bait dog for dogfighting, and then M found her shut in the spare room.
The most important things to me were all the numbers on my cellphone, the data on my laptop, and of course my leather jacket. I still cant think about that jacket without bursting into tears- just like I am now. Time to go calm down a bit.
