Feb. 13th, 2004 04:24 pmStarted working on the Mini last night with Nicholas, while I stripped and inspected the rear brakes he unbolted the towbar (yes, its got a towbar. Insane I know but it comes in handy) To my surprise the rear brakes are in perfect condition- not a hint of rust in the cylinder bores, the seals sharp and clean...
Nicholas went shopping today too, new battery, fuel filters and brake fluid. Strip and clean front brakes, fit new parts, and the Mini is roadworthy. Im so pleased to have found someone so appreciative to give the Mini to, i couldnt bear the idea of selling it to a stranger, not knowing what might happen to it. this seems to be a prefect arrangement- Nicholas gets to drive the mini round and do whatever he likes to it, I get to see it sometimes and will continue to do work on it (so I know its being done right ;-)) and, in theory, Nicholas will give it back when he's sick of it. One less thing to worry about.
Someone just told me I looked good in a leather jacket but I'd look better without the beard- eeek!! Without the beard I look like Im 15. Not to mention that I'm attracted to beardy men, it would be horrible to look in the mirror and think "ewww"...
