Meet the parents...
Apr. 17th, 2004 09:33 amHamilton, Friday night, and the kid behind the counter at Burger King looks scared. He's 16 (but looks 12) and the two big bikers who just walked in are more than he expected on his first day. No tot worry though, Morris breaks the tension by scolding Rick for mumbling like he's a kid.
We're here to pick up Mo's parents from the airport- we drive up, Morris says "Thats them, there they are!" except its not them. Apparently its been a while since Morris has seen his parents. Once we actually locate them, cram everyone into the Datsun, and head off, its time for introductions. "Who's the quiet guy in the corner," says Mo's dad. Clearly he hasnt been told about the newest addition to the family (much like my own dad he's been left to figure it out on his own) but that doesnt take long... tucked up in bed conversation#1 "Where's Grant going to sleep?"
Morris explained it to him this morning...
