Thailand: 9 more sleeps.

I know, a childish way of counting down the days, but its appropriate because I havent felt this sort of excitement since I was a kid waiting for christmas. What seemed like an abstract concept a couple of months ago is now suddenly becoming very real- I've organised my foreign exchange (a few tens of thousands of Baht, its a nice number with lots of zeroes but its left me skint in NZ) and had a couple of sessions on the sunbed (dont want to burn or, worse, look like a tourist from the UK)...

PR people, take note- things dont explode any more, they experience rapid disassembly:

"It has come to Kyocera Wireless Corp's attention that an allotment of batteries to be used with the Kyocera 7135 smartphone might contain a risk hazard... Of the 50,731 units shipped in the United States, Kyocera has received four (4) confirmed reports of rapid disassembly. Of these four (4) reports one involved personal injury in the form of a second-degree burn and two (2) reported incidents resulted in minor property damage."

[ACertainLargeDepartmentStore] I'm currently making an advert for has decided that this Mothers' Day, they will focus on Lingerie. Sexy, lacy, silky, revealing lingerie. While this might be a success in Invercargill, Tasmania, or Iowa, I doubt it will go down well in the larger centres.

I, for one, will NOT be buying my mother slinky lingerie this Mothers Day.
