Like Marcia. Who sent Andrew a pleasant letter outlining her concerns re: the rotting automobile carcasses on the front lawn, the piles of wood, and the general accumulation of junk, and invited Andrew to come round for a cup of tea and talk it over.
Next day, however, the letter from the council arrived- and it wasnt anywhere near as pleasant. Dear Resident/ we have received complaints/ abandoned vehicles on your property/ risk to the public/ 28 days to comply/ severe penalties
Andrew called the council inspector, who was actually friendly, helpful, and apologetic. All Andrew has to do is tidy the place up a bit- The Gemini is an aussie classic, and the rotting Piazza a donor car. Piles of wood need to be stacked and/or covered, the grass around everything needs to be cut. All the inspector needs to see is an improvement.
Marcia, however, will likely see terrible muddy runoff over her driveway, random tree branches in her yard, and the back of a huge shed Andrew has been meaning to build but hasnt had the heart to, since it would spoil Marcia's view of his garden.
