As short, work-filled weekends go that one wasnt too bad. After work on Saturday (I finished at 1pm on account of satrting at 6.45) I headed down to TeAroha. A quick stop at the Copper Kettle to pick up some tasty treats, and home.
Saffy was mad. I think she'd eaten one of those funny toadstools from the garden- she was cuddly and clingy but playing puppy games like "bite the beard" and "lick the ears". And of course her favourite game while in bed of "snuggle up to someone until they start sweating from the heat". Cute but annoying.
Sunday Rick went off to work, Morris and I stayed in bed ;-D When we eventually got up it was grey and rainy outside, so we just amused ourselves with movies- "Das Experiment" was a great thriller with the added bonus of naked men. In jail cells. And the main character, who was a spunk despite his floppy hair, had his head shaved halfway through- Woof!!
Tauranga for Thai dinner, Morris showed Rick and I just how grippy his new tyres are in the wet, and then off to bed. Eventually.
Rick's off to Europe on thursday, Im not looking forward to missing him for 3 weeks.
And of course I got to sleep in this mornign- I had told Glenn I wouldnt be at work until 10am on monday, so I didnt have to leave TeAroha at the usual 5am. 8am is much more civilised...
