Mini Update

Mini cooked her engine last week. The bypass hose split, the engine boiled, and now the head gasket has failed. Nicholas is philosophical about it though- his old dunga Toyota just passed its last warrant, so he has 6 months to rebuild the Mini's engine and repair whatever body panels need repairing. The engine really needs doing, she was blowing smoke when I gave her to Nicholas and she has only got worse...

Would be a good time to clean up the subframes and rebuild the suspension too. The front suspension needs work, the nylon cups have gone (I have spares) and I presume the needle roller bearings are shot- they usually are.

I definitely chose the right man to give Mini to though, he's as caring to the old beast as I am. :-)
