Exciting weekend ahoy!
Jun. 20th, 2005 10:46 amDespite being woken at 4.30 on saturday morning, I had another brilliant weekend. Friday night I took Paul3 out to dinner as he'd had a stressful week- I love talking with him, we're very much on the same plane.
Breakfast with mum and dad on Saturday was pleasant, Dad offering me the use of his workshop to rebuild the Piazza's spare engine in and Mum trying to convince me to sell Usana products (It's not a pyramid sceme, its a triangle. Somehow I'm not convinced. Well, that and the requirement to buy $260/month of products for your own use. Fuck that, I dont use supplements or eat processed food, and I'm not going to start to the tune of $60 a week.)
Saturday night at Urge was as quiet as Friday. I blame the Melbourne effect- everyone is off to Southern Hibearnation next weekend, and so they were staying home despite the warm weather. Speaking of next weekend, I'm hoping to organise a 'Fuck Hibearnation' party for all the tragic losers who have been left behind. Yours truly included.
Sunday saw me waking at lunchtime and, after ferrying Paul1 and Alan to the store to buy a new coffee machine, we ended up at Paul2's for afternoon tea. Scones, beer, cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, and yummy waffles. Actually, come to think of it Paul3 was there as well- damn confusing. Too many Pauls.
Aquarius Club is my new favourite night. Lots of older guys drinking beer, eating sausage rolls, and being blokes. The sort of laid-back place where you can go up to someone and say "Hi, couldnt help but notice that you're really sexy, what's your name?". As proven by me a few times last night, much to the Pauls' amusement. Which reminds me, I must put restock my wallet with business cards...
