Ooh! Lasers!
Jul. 10th, 2005 03:28 pmTo start, lets just point out that I dont do dance parties. I cant dance, I get all self-conscious, and being in a dense crowd makes me nervous. The fact that I've enjoyed 3 of the last 4 dance parties I've been to (Hero, Underbear party, Beyond, and last nights 'Celebration') does not change this. Honest.
So I enjoyed last night's party immensely. All the usual suspects were there, letting it all hang out (literally, in a couple of cases) in the midst of the slim, smooth party boys and girls. The music was awesome, the light show... ample, and my new boots and leather pants stood up well to *counts on fingers* 6 hours of dancing. My head's not so lucky. I have the tiniest hangover today- from not drinking enough water I suspect. Poor dehydrated brain.
As Alan, Paul and I were leaving (5am) we foolishly stopped for one last drink in the lounge- and were immediately set upon by Miss Ribena, a raucous 7'2" lady with a hairy chest, who attracted a small gaggle of other drag queens. Never before have I been so terrified. Pawed and prodded, clutched to polyester bosoms, hands going where ladies hands should NOT go, blinded by glitter and deafened as they loudly shared beauty tips involving gelatin-filled baloons and duct tape.
Eventually they tired of us and we made our escape...
Oh and I almost forgot: when we got home Cody was asleep on the couch, snuggled into the cushions all puppylike. So cute!! Or, perhaps he was *pretending* to be asleep on the couch, as the TV was still warm and there was a porno in the DVD player...
Yeah, ok, so I made that bit up. Hi Cody! Loveyoumeanit!
