Feb. 23rd, 2006 01:29 pmPaul's fantasizing about a new car, as his MR2 is getting a bit old and mangey he's a boy and boys like new toys.
On the shortlist are the Maxda RX8, which, though thirsty, sounds like the sort of fine-handling car Paul would enjoy. And would probably leave my fillings firmly in my teeth, unlike the granite-hard suspension in the MR2.
Nissan's 350Z also gets good reviews, largely due to its sweet, sweet engine, though its only a 2-seater and the trunk comes pre-filled with an enourmous strut brace. And the styling is a little odd...
Other suggestions for a RWD sports coupe
paulo38 should look into?

Oh dear god, he's looking at a 2001 Golf VR6 4-motion. Not that I'm biased, its just the last time I drove a VR6 it took me a month to come out of the coma, and I'm understandably wary. Maybe the 4WD makes a difference? I'm keen to try a R32, maybe this is similar.
