FUUUUUUCK!!!!

My miserable plastic turd of a laptop, the most overpriced and underengineered piece of junk ever to have masqueraded as a computer, has been experimenting with psychedelic drugs. What else would explain a screen that worked fine yesterday, but now could set an entire minivan full of preschoolers into siezure? Yes, what could explain this sudden and total failure except drugs... or the way the LCD is attached to the all-plastic lid with THREE SCREWS?!
Note to engineers and designers: a plastic is a fine product, and perfectly capable of adequately supporting a $1000 LCD as long as it's sturdy enough. However, trying to make a chassis using less plastic than your average supermarket shopping bag is a recipe for disaster.
I hereby swear to never, ever again touch, let alone purchase, any product that was carelessly shat out of the NEC/Packard Bell factory. Frankly, I'd rather use a 6-year old 200Mhz WinCE palmtop running IE 4.01. Oh look, thanks to Packard Bell, I am.
