Here's a conundrum: you have a rubber bush in a suspension arm, and it's been pressed in with a press. Strangely enough. You cant remove it without a press.
Trust me I tried. Drilling, hammering, swearing... no way was it moving
The solution? Call Dad on father's day and ask him. Dad's solution was fantastic, clever, and I suspect he's done this before...

One scissor jack, a couple lengths of lumber (painted blue: not strictly neccesary, but pretty), an assortment of old sockets, and some sturdy concrete garage walls.

Result? all these shiny red things, and a few shiny black things which aren't as easy to spot. They made my front suspension silky-smooth and swiss-watch precise, the difference is about double what I was expecting- it's astonishing. I can feel the tyre sidewalls twitching as I push through corners just a little bit sideways. I can feel the old-suspended back end bucking about while the front just soaks up road imperfections. I can almost feel the fuel tank draining with every mile. Must fix that... :-)
