Now that was a fun weekend. I worked at the bar on Friday, helping Paul out as Alan was a bit crook. The crowd was.. interesting. A bit sparse too, though we hoped that was due to people saving themselves for Saturday night. I did get my end away though... heh heh.
Saturday was spent driving. The whole day. I drove Paul3 to his work to pick up another car (He cleverly sold his first one to a dealer down south, and then realised he'd have to hire a car to get back home.) and then delivered a couple of book I sold online, and then took
mikeybill for a spin out to Riverhead. I slightly miscalculated and almost ended up in Albany (from the north, no less) but we made it back in one piece, stopping briefly at a small brewery on the way. It was lovely to have time to talk with Michael outside of the bar- there's only so much deep and meaningful you can do in a loud bar.
Saturday night... oh dear. the boys celebrated one year of bar ownership, and the place was packed. Steamy, hot, sweaty and fun, fun, FUN! The calibre of the talent was something to behold: I dont think I've ever seen so many hot bears in that bar at once. I had a GREAT time, even though I was working. :-D At one stage it was so busy behind the bar I didnt have time to stop for a drink for nearly 2 hours. Eventually though I realised I was sobering up and *made* myself stop and have a nice big gin and tonic. That, combined with the vanilla vodka shots Paul started serving meant that we didnt get to bed until 7am...
Sunday, then, was about relaxing. I volunteered to be the sober driver- it's really been a weekend of too much to drink- and had a great time sitting in the sun with all my favourite friends. Snacks and nibbly things in the afternoon, then dinner later tonight.
And now, sleep. In my own bed, even.
