Next time I'm in Berlin I want to stay in this room of the Künstlerheim Luise.

In other news, there is no work at work, and so I'm catching up on the crap jobs no-one wants to do, mostly involving untangling miles of ugly cable, re-routing it all in a tidier place, and learning far too much about packet sniffers and flooding the MAC table of a router.

Kaleidoscope- now with less wires and more wireless.

Funny moment of the day:
I'm right in the middle of untwisting and taping down an unruly 10kW power cable, when the phone rings.

Chris. "Hi Grant, what are you up to?"
G: "Right at this second I'm laying a cable but its refusing to play nice"
Chris: "Ewww!!! I'll call back in 10 minutes!" *hangs up*

(it took a while for me to figure out that he thought I was on the toilet. And about half an hour after that to stop laughing.)

I was at the end of my tether. Nothing had gone smoothly, every seemingly simple operation had ended up being ten times more complicated and had me visiting the textbooks (Yeah, Ok, Wikipedia) over and over. And then, as midnight struck, I applied the voltage again and, after a disappointing flicker, the monster lumbered to life, its screen filling with the sweet monochrome text of success. MUuuuuuhahahaha!!!

720degrees.org. Debian for obsolete palmtops, since 2006.

It runs! I have a full base install of Debian on my palmtop. most excellent.

Now, whats this 'apt' thing? what're packages, again? And where's the jornada-specific ones, or will it run anything designed for Debian?
