from the handheld..
Dec. 23rd, 2006 11:54 amJust as it seemed I would be doomed to stand in the stationary line
forever, a very friendly Air NZ host flounced over to me, and asked if I
would mind following him to premium checkin.
These new Urge muscle tees are good!!
And then, as I shopped for kiwifruit vodka, the very friendly cashier
regretfuly informed me that I was too late to purchase liquids- all
purchases must be made 90 minutes before departure. I gave my best 'kicked
puppy' look and sighed that the charity competition would just be missing
out on my fabulous cocktails this year... He hissed "wait here!", sprinted
to the back of the shop, determined that the trolley hadnt been picked up
yet, and came back and served me, saying "Oh, I'm going to get into SO
much trouble for this..."
These new Urge tees are SERIOUSLY good. I wonder if they work on ladies too?
Answer: Yes, it appears so. I've been chatting to a lovely Canadian lady
and her husband who have just ocmpleted a 2-week cruise around New
Zealand. They loved it, as does anyone who gets out and sees some of the
country.
First movie: The Illusionist. Great story, a fantastical period piece, but
OH MY GOD... the sexy beards. Paul Giamatti. Schwing! I think its time I
started doing a little facial topiary- I could definitely see myself
sporting a waxed moustache, as easily as I could see myself riding one.
Yum!!
see. the. movie.
Terry from Titirangi, our handsome and fabulous head cabin attendant, has
just noticed the Urge teeshirt. Hence the uneding stream of gin and
tonice- in glass glasses, no less, fab food from the front of the plane
and very attentive service. I think I owe him a drink or two next time he
comes into Urge...
Customs were veeeery interested in why I was back in the US so soon-
"Twice in a few months, sir?" Well, yes, I like it here and have some
fantastic friends. Why wouldnt I be here as often as possible? IN any
case,a few extra questions from everyone and i was off, first out the door
thanks to premium checkin putting my bag at the front of the plane, to
find Greg sitting in the arrivals lounge excitedly.... playing tetris. I
sneaked around behind and gave him the biggest surprise hug ever. Yay!!
I'm here!!
Greg drove me straight home, [insert filth of your choice here] and after
a much-needed shower we headed out again, this time on the bike. Round and
around SF we went- Lombard st, the piers, oceanfront, golden gate park,
presidio, all kinds of sightseeing touristy type things and many happy
photos taken. I'm really Really here!!! One beer at the Edge and we were
back to Greg's for spiced apple cider, Dr Who and more pork sausage. And
some of the best sleepy snuggles ever.
Oh, and Fish? I can hear you bouncin from here!!! *smooch* see ya tomorrow!!
