(no subject)

We've spent the day at beaches. Mission Bay, on the waterfront for lunch and half-naked jogger watching, then off to Karekare on the left coast for a long walk in the black brown sand. And a discussion about the role of the coriolis effect in toilet flushing. Odd. But fun- lots of fun. I'm dreadfully happy to have Brian staying here for a few days, and getting to show him cute bits of my city that he might otherwise have missed. Meeting Ian and Doug is a special bonus- together they're the nicest guests.



Brian doesnt seem to photograph particularly well- he always comes out fuzzy. Perhaps becaause he *is* fuzzy. And no, mikeybill, he's not another LJer to be ensnared here at chez growler, he's just one that came back...



See? here we are 3 years ago, having met for the first time and realised that we have identical deeply ridged tongues. It was like velcro. Irresistable velcro.
