Mmm Hyundai. This one's kinda freaky looking- they fixed it in later models. Amazing how all the ingredients are there -leather, big engine, decent gearbox, all the toys- but the result is still somewhat disappointing. Or maybe I just shouldnt be driving the BMW so much. Here's the listing:

Great car companies rise out of one man's struggle against the odds to craft the seminal car that will forever define the passion and joy of the company that bears his name.

Hyundai was not one of those companies.

...until the middle of the '90s, when they abruptly started turning out cars you'd actually want to own. Like this Sonata Levant.

Smooth and grunty 2.5 litre V6, great for towing or long distance driving, leather interior, power steering and climate control aircon, plenty of leg room and so comfortable. It's got FOUR airbags and traction control for safety, and look at the size of that boot! You wont find many cars in this condition that have all these luxury features for under $10k.

Selling on behalf, friends of mine have moved to Waiheke to... I dont know, grow long hair and learn german I guess, so they're reluctantly giving up this nice cruisey car and swapping to something 4WD. I live in the city and have plenty of space for cars, so I get to sell it for them. And drive it around. Which I like.

Good stuff:
-2.5l V6, smooth and grunty.
-Automatic
-leather interior
-4 airbags
-Traction and stability control
-Kenwood CD stereo
-Climate control aircon
-Power steering, windows, central locking.
-Comfortable and spacious

Not so great stuff:
-Subtle ripple/dent on the bonnet (cant see it in the photos)
-Scuffed paint on the front bumper (again, too subtle for the photo)
-Tyres are getting low (but should still pass a warrant)
-I'm considering buying it myself!

Feel free to call anytime, as I said I'm in the city if you want to come look at this very nice Hyundai.

I'm having dinner at SPQR- seared lamb rump with brocollini, artichokes and mint mash, all washed down with a rather lovely lake chalice merlot. I got home after a long day of chasing my tail and just couldn't face cooking. Or, more accurately, the washing of dishes after.

The best bit? I told the manager all about how SPQRs donated vouchers helped raise nearly $1500 for charity on the weekend and he decided to hospo my meal. Yay for karma! ;-)
