Dear Livejournal.

This evening at Urge we surpassed our regular Thursday takings record.

To be more precise, we blew it into the fucking weeds.

I am rather pleased with this development. The margaritas were a hit, I simply served the first one and everyone followed suit. Baah! And when we play porn videos on a Thursday we have a couple, maybe 4 people watching them- tonight we had 8 people watching from 10 till 1am. And I was playing 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Mommy Dearest', not porn. Doug's retro music ROCKED with a capital R.O.C.K.E. and D: hardly anyone notices the music normally, but tonight nearly everyone commented on it.

Oh and for the car nerds: I noticed something way cool about the BMW yesterday- the cruise control accelerates slightly, just a touch, when you're going round a corner, regardless of whether it thinks you're already going too fast or not. And it accelerates more the harder you turn.

This is totally awesome. A cruise control that knows it's piloting a RWD sports car. Color me lustful*.

*If you know me then you'll know how rare it is for me to be impressed by anything automated. Therefore for me to be wowed by a cruise control must say something about how insanely good this cruise control is. Honest.

Brian sent me underpants! And porno! And Lost! And some batteries and power adaptors and some bubble wrap and a freakin laptop.

And not an Apple though, rather a Dell Inspiron 700m, which is some kind of sigh of resignation I guess.

I am so in love right now. I can has batteries that charge, and WiFi that works without having to slam the lid shut a couple times to jiggle the antennas, and a screen that knows when it's closed and turns itself off, and USB2 and 200% more processor and no more annoying little blue nipple for driving the mouse.
