We saw a genuine internet celebrity the other day: the Claw!

Seattle aquarium

We walked (yes, walked, stop the mock gasps of shock) to downtown, intending to visit the sculpture park, but of course it rained. So where better to hide than the aquarium?

The Seattle Aquarium is compact but really well appointed. Wave tanks, coral reefs, jellyfish loops, sea lions and... (wait for it, Dave...)

OTTERS!!

We showed up right on otter feeding time. It was all I could do not to jump in there with them and start munching clams myself, but I resisted. And filmed. And went "Awww!" with all the tourists.

Yes folks: for one precious moment, I, too, was a tourist.

We saw other kinds of wildlife. Not the best photo (the bus was moving) but here's a genuine gnome on holiday- carhartt overalls, long beard, shiny head and wee gnome glasses. He kinda looks like he's scoping out the trash can, but he's just waiting for a bus.
