Queen of the Whole Universe is an annual drag pageant to benefit HIV charities in New Zealand. This year they made $47,000 for the cause, and broke a Guinness world record by having 47 drag queens on stage at one time.

Urge bought a whole row on the balcony, safely out of heckling range, although our fearless leaders Alan and Paul abandoned us for their swanky seats near the front. We didn't mind, it was a fab show anyway. We had a couple of spare tickets so instead of taking Brian I took Frank, the swiss tourist.

Dodgy fellas before the show

We flashmobbed the show. From the highest balcony.

See, all the usual suspects.

Alan was viciously attacked by the delightful Miss Mole, visiting from Christchurch.

I think Frank, the swiss tourist, enjoyed the show.

Hilarity ensued, and we made it home at 6:30am, having attempted to run the bar in a responsible manner and only vaguely succeeded. Fantastic.

I'm watching the BBC's "The supersizers go wartime". 'Supersizers Go...' is a series where the presenters live the life and diet of the english from different periods- the one I just watched was from wartime. A week of rationed food, restaurant meals, bribing G.I.s for stockings, national bread and air raids.

Totally awesome- witty, funny, and moving.
