Wellington
Feb. 16th, 2009 07:53 pmWellington turned it on today with cold weather, grey skies, and a brisk breeze.
To get to the motor museum we drove over a great winding road which was all sharp corners, steep drops and greasy surface, and were rewarded with a fantastic view of the Paraparaumu coast.
The motor museum was great as ever, and Brian had a great time prodding the odd euro cars and japanese classics. I think I've decided I want another Mini- the mini display was fantastic. (And now we're about to watch 'goodbye pork pie', just to rub it in)
After the museum we had a few hours to spare, so I decided to aim for the lookout on Mt Victoria. Surprisingly enough it was adequate to simply drive through the Mt Victoria tunnel and then aim uphill.
