Jun. 18th, 2009 12:00 pmSo there's this rewards card thingie you use when you go to the supermarket- OneCard. They have special OneCard discounts and you have to show your OneCard to get them.
Well recently I learned that they also give you reward vouchers, though they post them out to whatever fake address you gave when you signed up, so I wasn't sure if it was worth it. However, since I'm moving soon anyway, I decided to update my address and see what it was worth.
It seems putting the bar's purchases through my OneCard is somewhat lucrative- I received a $45 voucher last week. Not being the sort of person who buys groceries I of course used it towards the bar's beer this week, and that's when things get mildly amusing.
I'm at the checkout with a cart stacked with beer. "Can I use this?" I say, handing over the voucher.
"Ooof! You've got a big one!" Exclaims the checkout lady.
"I've never had any complaints", I say.
It goes straight over the checkout girl's head, but the bagging lady just about died.
