Christening
Aug. 31st, 2009 09:50 pmThere's a tradition at Badger of christening the new bikes. Yes, they do get somewhat damp. (There's Rainbows involved, duh!). I have no issue with the dampening.
I do, however, have an issue with christening a bike that's barely mine. This one's about to be sold before Brian relocates to NZ, and as such it's practically a rental, though we wont know how much 3 months' bike rental cost until it's sold.
Does one christen rental bikes? It seems disingenuous. Though, if I do go through with it, the name 'Sealadach' will be a mischievous nod- it means (Adj) Temporary or (N) caretaker/stand-in.
Hmmm.
