Dying computer.
Apr. 22nd, 2010 10:15 amWell, not really dying, but very unhappy. My poor wee laptop, a tiny Dell from 2004, has about 20 minutes battery life and creaks when it moves.
My work computer, a venerable hand-me-down from
danlmarmot, is a rip-roaring Pentium4 that took about a week to render the last chunk of work I did on it. Not the fastest beastie.
Brian has helpfully pointed out that the new Macbook Pros (the 15" and 17" ones) have decent processors (core i5 and i7's) and 8 hour battery life. How convenient. I suspect he's trying to win me over to the Apple side and, having been exposed to it daily for the last couple of years, my resistance is not what it was.
Still, that one tiny chunk of exquisite aluminium costs more than my van did, so I'm not having too hard a time resisting.
