SF has always been a mixed bag for me. I know and like so many men who are so happy and connected there, but there's an intensity that I've often find off-putting. I've always said being gay in SF is like being a mouse in Disneyland. For better and worse.
Still, sounds like a memorable trip in so many way. I hope you've lots of memories to cherish.
