Hardly Normal and the no-service technicians.

The Fridge, my hideous white plastic laptop, spontaneously disassembled its hinge before I went on holiday, and so went in for repair. I called the retailer (Harvey Norman) yesterday to ask if it was ready. "Uh, no, theyre waiting for parts, it should be ready next week" was the reply, after the technician looked up my account.

Fair enough. Not the best result, but fair enough.

Until later in the day when I got a call from a different technician. "Your laptop's been ready for a week, are you going to come pick it up?"

I may well complain.

Customer service this day in age sucks no matter where in the world you live.

Shall I remind you of my "paying for petrol" incident. Hrmmm... perhaps that would make a good blog.

You naked on a bearskin in front of a fireplace would make an even better blog...

Oh. I just made myself sad again. Miss you!

Incompetence. If you need a definition, look up George W. Bush.

you would think since they're in the computer repair business. That they would be better at log keeping on a computer. how hard is it to enter in "repaired - ready for pickup"

I guess it is better to find out that the computer is ready over beinf told it is and then going in and finding out it isnt. Have you settled back into life in NZ yet?
