It went well!

Mum and dad were clearly nervous about meeting the husbears properly, whenever they've met before its been because we were all in the same place at the same time, but this was a genuine meet-the-family affair. Dad in particular was very quiet at first, as is typical, but once he got talking about building extensions and clearlite roofing solutions he was fine. The look on Mum's face as she saw the extent of the garden was great- she couldnt wait to get in there and start weeding and clipping :-)
Morris and Rick are such fantastic people- so versatile, one minute we're having dirty sweaty sex, the next minute they're charming and friendly...
Breakfast was pancakes with bacon and banana, then a seemingly endless procession of tea and biscuits as Mum and Dad explored the place. Dad was interested in the workshop and the Harley, while Mum and Morris took a leisurely tour of the garden, Mum identifying the weeds so Morris would know what to attack with his new Hedge Trimmers Of Doom (tm). Actually I think Dad was on P-lab inspection duty while Mum was looking for evidence of a pot plantation, because by the time they went back to Hamiltron they looked very pleased with themselves and happy that I've found such fantastic husbears.
Although just one thing- I can imagine the drive back to Hamilton:
Dad,"So which one is Grant going out with?"
Mum,"Errr... I didnt think you understood...."
heh heh.
