Actually, the trip to Kaukapakapa was more fun than it should have been, thanks in part to the very straight bumpers I found there- the right colour and all. Superb. The other fun bit was when I sort of forgot I was driving the Charade rather than the MR2 and ended up drifting a little more than I intended around a couple of corners. I blame the Charade's wheels, which are little larger than oatmeal cookies, but Robbie blamed the fact that I entered a 65km/h-signposted corner at 95km/h.

Cow-copper-copper. In Maori, the first syllable is stressed and you get subsequent syllables out of the way as quickly as possible.

Waikikamukau: Why-kick-a-moo-cow.
Waipu:Why-poo.
Karangahake:Car-anger-hacky.

Yes, I finally got all my speling and HTML right. Argh!!

Aw, we all know that those signposts on corners are just suggestions...!
