I have books. Lovely black glossy ones with green on the cover. I've already delivered one to it's delighted new owner... yay Fish!! I'm going to read one poem a week. Many times. See if I cant figure out your head. More than I already do.

I have packed. By the miracle of compression I managed to fit everything into my microscopic satchel, but everyone I mentioned it to looked grave and issued dire warnings about not looking like a drug mule. So I repacked in a larger bag- it'll give me room to bring home goodies, I guess.

I have instructions: this many vodka, that many champagne, so many cartons of ciggies. Ah, the joys of going overseas and duty-free.

Did I mention that I'm coming to Dallas? For 43 hours? Oh, I did?

Poor mikeybill has his thesis to complete, a task now made much more difficult when there's a new book of pomes shinily distracting him...

I'm guessing you're only slightly less excited than I am? (Actually, I heard you squealing exclaiming in an excited but manly way in the background when last I talked to Robbie- you may just be *more* excited than I!!) :-D

Actually you're probably right, it *is* a manbag, just cunningly disguised as a hip urban messengers backpack. Instead, I'm taking my old manbag, a lovely laptop-style bag in a camo print.
