im getting heartily sick of not having enough time to do what i want to do- no, not go out and party, but every time i find a few moments to sketch furniture i keep coming up with new and cooler stuff.
Grrr!!

Theres quite a career to be made in hand-crafted furniture from NZ,particulkarly since I'm assuming you'll be using recycled or local materials.I sell old furniture for a living and I am here to tell you people love a one off or rare piece.Have a look at this this stuff by Krimper

You have to be able to look at what you can produce with an outsiders eye. What may seem mundane or commonplace to you is incredibly exotic to someone else.I have learned this with my drawing, what for me is easy can be marvelled at by someone else who does not possess the ability.

Now get to work! And post piccies of you making furniture all sweaty and half nekkid.

I had a thought but lost it thinking about a half naked and sweaty man making furniture.

Well, you know, i could pretend like I was making it, just for fun... ;-)

Make?!? No no no... the plan is to design and have made for me. That way my work is judged by its suitability, not my technical skills. And I get to go away more often.

And I'm not sure I want my stuff only to be valuable after I'm dead... eee!

;-)

WAIT WAIT WAIT, I got it. To find extra time ,do as I do. Sleep less.

Unlikely... I'm pretty ragged as it is. No, I think I need to just take the plunge, lose the annoying job and spend some serious time pushing myself.

And maybe 6 months off in the US wouldnt go astray either.

so it's not really about furniture but sex - how predictable

Your muse is calling. Entertain her, indulge her, and put your work in the file for those times when you have the will, and she won't come.
