I once had a STD test at the doc's office. She gave me the cotton swab thing, said It's better if the patient does it, and I'll be back in a few moments.... Ouch. That hurt.... She came back in, when I commented on it, she said - yep that's how I know if a patient has really done the test or not.

Fortunately the test was negative...
