I've been driving Michael's Mitsubishi L300 this weekend. It's old and wheezy and dented and ugly, but surprisingly nice to drive- and not just 'for a van'. I really like it!

I wonder if I should swap the MR2 for a van. It would be damn handy. I could even live in it when I get back from the US, if that seems necessary.

I'd have to get the 4WD diesel version though.

Do they make a 4WD pop-top camper version? Just this week I saw another of the rare VW 4WD campers - one of my dream cars.

And then Thursday night I saw... oh, wait, I think I'll blog that.

They make a pop-top, must be a 4WD version out there somewhere- but wouldnt be too difficult to transplant the pop-top onto a regular version anyway.

I have a dead American version in my back yard. Everyone here knows it as the "toaster" I can't bear to part with it. It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I wish we could import the newer models into the US. I envy you greatly. Enjoy the ride.
