I think the plan is that it goes so fast the rain just gets blown off. Until the reality of a tall, high, live-axle van's handling comes into play and you find yourself heading backwards into the scenery- well, *Then* you might need wipers.

A friend of mine went on a rally where his co-driver was carsick from start to finish- he joked that he needed to install wipers on the inside, but settled for making his co-driver wear a closed-face helmet.
