Today, for Brian's birthday, we slogged our way through hordes of tacky tourists visited some of the more scenic parts of Seattle. The food hall at Westlake Center was ok, though I should really have figured that the food stand with no queue was probably that way for a reason, and not just a lucky way to avoid having to wait. Daiso, the Japanese $2 shop, was a heap of fun and we bought proper tongs. Pike place market was pretty and looked just like a set from Sleepless in Seattle, we saw the heart of corporate evil first Starbucks store ever, and the view from the top of the space needle was impressive.

And then I became overheated and cranky. We're home again having a beer, but may pop out to test drive Brian's next car.

Brian's Birthday? Crap! Did I forget? Give him a smooch for me. Aah, give him a smooch anyway.

And I gotta agree, Seattle is a beautiful city.

So they've opened a Daiso in Seattle now? Great! I love that place. I think I took Brian to the one in Richmond a few years ago and turned him onto it.
