Some days I'm struck by how similar Seattle is to Auckland. Broadway could be Ponsonby Rd, downtown is pretty similar, and today Brian and I rode to Alki beach in West Seattle. (that's "alk-eye", not "al-key", allegedly.) It's fairly identical to the waterfront in Auckland- we could have been in Mission Bay if the place was just a little smaller- complete with statuary, cafes, and twats on rollerblades.
