I am insane. I read 'Taranaki' as 'Tauranga'. Now I have to hire a trailer and go on a loooong road trip to pick up a bike I don't have space for. Still, Brian likes it as it is blue. Wait till he figures out it's a 250.

It gets good reviews- fast and comfortable at speed, 250 miles per tank, easy to repair and lots of parts easily available. Sounds about perfect for me.

I wonder what shipping to the US is like? ;-)

You can get 250 Kawis here easily-- they're pretty popular beginner sportbikes.
Not as Ducati-esque as your last one, but I'm sure you'll be working your magic...

The ZZR250 was my first bike, but I had a red one because they went faster.
