Oh, and today we went shopping for rings. I like titanium, because I'm a geek, mostly, but also because my fingers are freaky weird and I dont want to give them any excuse to get weirder.

Metropolis?

Electric slide?

Black titanium?

Gallagher?

Abyss Replica? (OMG how geekycool)

Ok time to sleep now.

A thought on Rings.

If you plan to wear your ring 24 hours a day, give some thought to how much gunk it might retain. Given that you work on cars alot, you might pick one that doesn't have a lot of deep groves where grease could hide.

My ex and I had big cigar band sized Titanium rings, and they're nice and light, but they scratch easily, and in a couple of months they don't look that great. When we broke up I thought that was a good metaphor.

Now I just have a big Tungsten ring, which is mirror bright, and hasn't developed a scratch in two years. It is heavy, but I think it's a much better symbol for fidelity.

Metropolis upside down looks like something drippy....

And while gold isn't exactly a hard metal - it's something jewelers have been working with for centuries and any scratches or nicks could be polished out or repaired. I have no idea if titanium jewelry is repairable, especially if it's anodized.
