Yay! Good to hear your changes worked. As for the vibey engine, you're stuck with it ;) One way to minimize the vibes reaching your hands, if they get to be too much, is to install a Barsnake. They work--I put one in my first Springer. Or you could fill the bar with shot pellets. Both of these dampen the shakes.
