growler_southI have salvaged the situation. The unhappy client is coming in first thing on monday morning, and my boss is buying her, her clients, and myself a champagne breakfast while we work.
Of course, I had arranged all this with the client before I approached my boss for approval. And somehow convinced him that I'd done him a favour, making the client happy despite our supreme cock-up.
The moral of this tale?
