Resume normal transmission

Despite yesterdays relapse and subsequent post, I made an effort to go out last night and was very pleased I did.

I went for coffee and a late lunch with Paul, followed by some domestic chores (putting away the dramatic toaster of doom, laundry) and then out again to meet Paul and Cody for dinner. It was about then, as my Butter Chicken was delivered, that my phone started ringing. I'd forgotten about Don's birthday party, Dave and Andy's going away drinks at Urge, and meeting Kim at 2130. Hurrah for distraction and friends. Not hurrah for having to walk between 3 different venues.

So:
1830, dinner at the foodhall.
1900, personal appearance at Don's birthday
2000, Urge bar for Dave and Andy's superb going-away shindig. Plenty of happy friendly people, one of the ahppiest and friendliest being me by this stage :-)
2130, met Kim at Kamo for quiet beer and chat about various relationship issues he's having. Lovely phone call from boofbiker which was nice until I got distracted by Danny trying to abduct me.
2245, back to Urge, with Kim in tow, where we rejoined the party.

I finally got to talk to the garden centre lads in depth: they've been up in Auckland every weekend for about 6 months, but we've only ever chatted briefly, although I had the impression that they were all nice guys. I danced with Mauri, snuggled with Paul and David, flirted with CJ, and chased Toshi around the carpark. And staggered home at 0430, happy and back on track...
