Dec. 25th, 2006 04:00 pmChristmas day is shaping up to be a lot of fun, despite only getting to bed at 5am. I blame Eric and Rob and their penchant for cigars, port, and dirty humpy sex.
The West Sonoma Inn has marvellous rooms, all warm and luxurious, with big tiled bathrooms and gas fireplaces. Before I leave ehre I intend to sleep in my own room, but Robbie and Fish assure me it's lovely.
Dinner last night was fantastic, with mountains of food and happy friends, andtonight is slated to be more of everything. Thank god Robbie and I work so well together in the kitchen, as there's plenty to do!
Our 30 minute stint behind the bar went off like we werent expecting, we raised $425 in tips for charity, and distributed a litre and a half of kiwifruit shots. We also ended up with only our underpants on, but that was all for charity too. It seems we may have made a reputation for ourselves.
So it's back to cooking- roast beef, turkey, vegetables, all need to be prepped and cooked by... 6pm. Better get to it.
There's one thing that's brought me down a little, and that is finally figuring out that Randy who died yesterday was the same Randy I've been chatting to on and off over the last year or so. Goodbye Randy, I'm going to miss your strength and humour. See you around, tough guy.
